The Annual General Meeting of the NZRLS will be on Saturday 28 October 2023 starting at 2.00pm. The venue this year is the Johnsonville Community Centre, 3 Frankmore Avenue, Johnsonville.
The guest speaker this year is Daran Ponter who will address the topic “Metlink Rail Operations – Present Operations and Future Plans”. Daran is the chair of the Greater Wellington Regional Council and a keen observer of rail developments, including the new hybrid trains for the Manawatu and Wairarapa lines which he was the driving force behind.
Society publications will be available for purchase and afternoon tea will be served. All members and partners are welcome to join us.
Members who wish to receive hard copies by post of all AGM papers, including the Agenda, the Annual Report, the financial Performance Report and Minutes of the 2022 AGM, should contact myself. Copies of these papers will be in the member’s section of the society’s website (railsoc.org.nz) prior to the meeting and hard copies will be available for members attending at the meeting.
