The Annual General Meeting of the NZRLS was held on Saturday 28 October 2023 starting at 2.00pm. The venue this year was the Johnsonville Community Centre, 3 Frankmore Avenue, Johnsonville.
The guest speaker this year was Daran Ponter who addressed the topic “Metlink Rail Operations – Present Operations and Future Plans”. Daran is the chair of the Greater Wellington Regional Council and a keen observer of rail developments, including the new hybrid trains for the Manawatu and Wairarapa lines which he was the driving force behind.
Society publications were available for purchase and afternoon tea was served. All members and partners were welcome to join us.
Hard copies of all AGM papers, including the Agenda, the Annual Report, the financial Performance Report and Minutes of the 2022 AGM were available prior to the meeting via post or the website under the member’s section of the society’s website (railsoc.org.nz).
